Vikram Pratap Singh has turned into a most wanted player in the Indian transfer market. Teams such as East Bengal, Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City FC wants the services of the young Indian forward.
Why Is Vikram Pratap Singh Most Wanted ?
Vikram Pratap Singh currently is part of the Indian Arrows I-League squad. He made his debut for the Indian Arrows in the 2018-2019 I-League season. He played 13 matches that season and scored 1 goal.
2019-2020 season turned out to be a career builder for the 18 years old young lad from Chandigarh. He appeared in 14 matches this season for the Arrows and scored 4 goals this season.
He scored all goals against some of the biggest football clubs that plays in the Indian 2nd division league. He scored his first goal in a losing cause against Aizawl FC. Then he scored against NEROCA FC in a draw match.
His third goal could be the biggest of his career when he scored an injury time goal against Kolkata giants East Bengal. Probably because of that East Bengal have shown interest to sign the young lad from the Arrows.
Recently the player was named in Goal’s NxGn India series among 9 other players in the list. In an interview with Goal he revealed how the Indian Arrows played against bigger clubs in the division.
“We got together only about 10 days before the I-League began. But slowly, gradually, our game started to get better as we played more. Against higher level players, we were only losing 1-1 or 1-0. We gave a tough fight to most of our opponents,” Vikram told Goal.
“Our team was physically inferior and the other I-League teams had foreigners while our team did not have any. So to perform against them was the motivation. I think we were a bit less experienced. But we were not inferior in ability.”
Vikram Pratap Singh’s career has just began and already he is a big transfer target for some of biggest Indian Super League teams as well as East Bengal.
Reportedly, the young man has rejected the East Bengal contract as well as Kerala Blasters contract who once were the favourites to sign him. Now according some sources Mumbai based Mumbai City FC is now the front runner to sign Vikram Pratap Singh.
While big clubs are interested to sign the player, but his fans thinks something else. Some of Vikram’s fans have recommended the young man to move to a team where he can get as much as possible game time or stay with the Arrows.
To be fair, the fans are all right. Considering how young the player is, he should play for a team where he can play as much as possible. There is a lot of growth still needed and for that he needs to stay in the football pitch.
